On the same night she was inducted as the Chicago Association of REALTORS®’ immediate past president, Sarah Ware also accepted one of the most prestigious awards the association grants.
CAR defines the REALTOR® of the Year recognition as “the highest and most coveted award that can be bestowed by one’s peers,” noting that recipients must demonstrate professionalism, willingness to serve as a mentor and leadership that has significantly impacted the advancement of the profession. Ware’s advocacy work with Illinois REALTORS®, the National Association of REALTORS® and multiple nonprofit organizations stands as a testament to that criteria.
“Real estate is more than just a profession — it’s about building communities and creating opportunities for all,” Ware said. “I look forward to continuing to work with the board and our dedicated members to further our shared goals and ensure that the Chicago Association of REALTORS® remains a leader in the industry.”
As immediate past president, the managing broker of Ware Realty Group will continue to provide strategic guidance and leadership to one of the largest real estate organizations in the country.
“It is a privilege to serve as immediate past president and to continue supporting the mission of the Chicago Association of REALTORS®,” said Ware. “Over the past year, we have made significant strides in advocating for our members and promoting diversity and inclusion within the industry. I am excited to continue this work and help shape the future of real estate in Chicago.”
Ware plans to leverage her extensive experience and knowledge as CAR’s 2023 president to mentor incoming leadership, support key initiatives and ensure a smooth transition. Her focus will be on fostering a collaborative environment where the voices of all members are heard and represented.
